Advertising Tracking

Use of Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; "Google"), on our website.

The data processing is for the purpose of analyzing this website and its visitors as well as for marketing and advertising purposes. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
This may collect information such as IP address, date and time of the page view, click path, information about the browser and device you are using, pages visited, referrer URL (website from which you accessed our website), location data, purchase activities. The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google uses technologies such as cookies, web storage in the browser, and counting pixels that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. There is an adequacy decision from the European Commission for the USA, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). Google has certified itself under the TADPF and thus committed to complying with European data protection principles. Both Google and US government authorities have access to your data. Google may link your data with other data, such as your search history, personal accounts, usage data from other devices, and any other data Google may have about you.
With the use of Google Analytics 4, the IP address transmitted by your website is automatically collected and processed in anonymized form. The IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

The use of cookies or similar technologies occurs with your consent based on § 25 Abs. 1 S. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The processing of your personal data occurs with your consent based on Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

For more information on terms of use and privacy, please visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=us.

In this context, we also use the Google Signals service. Google Signals allows for cross-device tracking. Thus, your data can be analyzed across devices if you have activated "personalized advertising" in your account settings and linked your devices to your Google account. This enables us to recognize when you search for products on one device and return on another device, such as a tablet, to complete purchases.

The cross-device reports generated in this context contain only aggregated data. We thus receive statistics created based on Google Signals. To prevent the collection and storage of data by Google Signals across devices, you can deactivate the "personalized advertising" function in the settings of your Google account. More information can be found at https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en.

For more information on data processing and privacy for Google Signals, please visit https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=en.

Use of the Facebook Pixel

We use the remarketing function "Custom Audiences" of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland "Facebook") on our website.

Meta Platforms Ireland and we are joint controllers for the collection of your data and its transmission to Facebook when the service is integrated. The basis for this is an agreement between us and Meta Platforms Ireland on joint processing of personal data, which sets out the respective responsibilities. The agreement is available at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. We are particularly responsible for fulfilling the obligations under Articles 13, 14 GDPR, for compliance with the security requirements of Article 32 GDPR regarding the correct technical implementation and configuration of the service, and for complying with the obligations under Articles 33, 34 GDPR, insofar as a violation of the protection of personal data concerns our obligations under the agreement on joint processing. Meta Platforms Ireland is responsible for enabling the data subjects' rights under Articles 15 - 20 GDPR, for compliance with the security requirements of Article 32 GDPR regarding the service's security, and for the obligations under Articles 33, 34 GDPR, insofar as a violation of the protection of personal data concerns the obligations of Meta Platforms Ireland under the agreement on joint processing.

The application serves the purpose of addressing the visitors of the website in a targeted manner with interest-based advertising in the social network Facebook. To this end, the Facebook remarketing tag was implemented on the website. This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers when visiting the website. This transmits to the Facebook server which of our pages you have visited. Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. When you visit the social network Facebook, then personalized, interest-based Facebook ads are displayed.

Your data may be transmitted to the USA. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision from the European Commission, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). Meta has certified itself under the TADPF and thus committed to complying with European data protection principles.

The use of cookies or similar technologies takes place with your consent based on § 25 Abs. 1 S. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The processing of your personal data takes place with your consent based on Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard, and ways to protect your privacy, please see Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking

We use the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, as part of this, conversion tracking (visit action evaluation) on our website. Google Conversion Tracking is an analysis service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity, contain no personal data, and thus do not serve personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, there is no possibility that cookies can be tracked across websites by Ads customers.

The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

Your data may be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision from the European Commission, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). Google has certified itself under the TADPF and thus committed to complying with European data protection principles. The processing of your personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, due to our overriding legitimate interest in addressing site visitors with targeted, interest-related advertising. You have the right to object at any time to this processing of personal data concerning you for reasons arising from your particular situation.

You can disable personalized advertising for you in Google's advertising settings. Instructions for this can be found at https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en.

Alternatively, you can prevent the use of cookies by third-party providers by accessing the opt-out page of the Network Advertising Initiative (Network Advertising Initiative) at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the opt-out information provided there. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Further information and the Google privacy policy can be found at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Use of Google Remarketing or "Similar Audiences" Function

We use the remarketing or "similar audiences" function of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; "Google") on our website.

This application is used to analyze visitor behavior and interests. For the analysis of website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertisements, Google uses cookies. These cookies collect visits to the website as well as anonymized data on the use of the website. No personal data of website visitors is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will see advertisements that are likely to take into account product and information areas you have previously called up.

Your data may be transmitted to servers of Google LLC in the USA. The European Commission has made an adequacy decision for the USA, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). Google has certified itself under the TADPF, thus committing to comply with European data protection principles.

The use of cookies or similar technologies takes place with your consent based on § 25 Abs. 1 S. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The processing of your personal data occurs with your consent based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

Further information on Google Remarketing and the corresponding privacy policy can be found at: https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

Use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag

We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Attn: Legal Dept., Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; "LinkedIn") on our website for conversion tracking (assessment of visitor actions) and retargeting (display of personalized advertisements).

The LinkedIn Insight Tag places a unique LinkedIn browser cookie (conversion cookie) in your browser and enables the collection of the following data for this cookie: metadata such as IP address, timestamp, and page events (e.g., page views). These cookies have a limited validity. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, LinkedIn and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag also allows LinkedIn to collect data on visits to our website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties (user agent), and timestamp. This data is transmitted to LinkedIn, encrypted, IP addresses are shortened, and direct IDs of LinkedIn members are removed within seven days to pseudonymize the data. These remaining pseudonymized data are then deleted by LinkedIn within 90 days.

LinkedIn does not share personal data with us but provides aggregated reports on the website audience and ad performance. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings.

The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag.

Your data may be transmitted to the USA. The European Commission has made an adequacy decision for the USA, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). LinkedIn is not certified under the TADPF.

Further information on cookies and the LinkedIn privacy policy can be found at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Use of TikTok Pixel
We employ the TikTok Pixel on our website, a service provided by TikTok Technology Limited (10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland; “TikTok Ireland”) and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited (6th Floor, One London Wall, London, EC2Y 5EB, United Kingdom; “TikTok UK”). Both companies act as joint controllers for data processing.

The purpose of the data processing is to identify and analyze the web page access of our customers, to address them better with targeted advertisements, and to evaluate the effectiveness of advertisements on TikTok. For this, TikTok uses technologies such as cookies and pixels, enabling your browser to be recognized. This may include collecting information such as the date and time of the visit, the browser and device type used, screen resolution, and IP address. TikTok may link this information to your personal TikTok user account. From the data collected, usage profiles can be created using pseudonyms. However, this does not allow for personal identification of users.

Your data may be transferred to third countries, such as the USA. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision from the European Commission, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). TikTok is not certified under the TADPF. Data transfer to the USA and third countries without an adequacy decision is carried out, among other things, based on standard contractual clauses as appropriate safeguards for the protection of personal data, which can be viewed at: https://commission.europa.eu/law/law-topic/data-protection/international-dimension-data-protection/standard-contractual-clauses-scc_de. The use of cookies or similar technologies is based on your consent under § 25 Abs. 1 S. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The processing of your personal data occurs with your consent based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.
